Terms of Use
1. The services
KnowYourProfile™ provides web-based assessment instruments designed to help users develop self-awareness across personal, professional, and financial domains:
- Archetype Compass — Jungian archetype profiling with numerology integration
- InvestorDNA — investor risk profiling aligned with the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) framework, including elements of the Risk Profile Questionnaire (RPQ) and Financial Advisers Act Notice FAA-N16
- WorkCompass — leadership style and team dynamics assessment
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use our services. By using our services, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.
3. Acceptable use
You agree to use the services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information.
- Use the services to harm, harass, or impersonate any person.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, accounts, or data.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of our instruments beyond what is permitted by law.
- Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the services.
- Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the services or reports without written permission.
- Interfere with the proper functioning of the services or other users' access.
4. Not financial, medical, or psychological advice
- Financial advice. InvestorDNA produces an investor archetype and indicative risk profile. It is not personalised financial advice, a recommendation to buy or sell any financial product, or a substitute for advice from a licensed financial adviser. Investment decisions involve risk and should be made in consultation with a qualified, MAS-licensed financial adviser based on your full circumstances.
- Medical or psychological advice. Archetype Compass and WorkCompass are not diagnostic tools and do not constitute clinical psychological assessments. If you are seeking guidance on mental health, please consult a licensed clinician.
- Legal or tax advice. Nothing in our reports should be interpreted as legal or tax guidance.
5. Accuracy of results
Our assessment results are computed from the responses you provide. While we strive for methodological rigour, we make no warranty that any specific result is accurate, complete, or suitable for any particular purpose. AI-generated readings and briefings are produced by third-party language models and may contain errors, inconsistencies, or generic content. Treat all output as a starting point for reflection, not as fact.
6. Intellectual property
All content on the KnowYourProfile™ services — including instrument designs, scoring methodologies, archetype frameworks, copy, visual design, and code — is owned by KnowYourProfile™ or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You may use the report you receive for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not reproduce, modify, or republish the instrument itself, its question banks, or its methodology without prior written permission.
7. Your content
You retain ownership of the personal data and answers you submit. By using the services, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to process this data solely for the purposes described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Third-party services
Our services rely on third-party providers including Supabase (database), OpenRouter and Anthropic (AI generation), Resend (email), and Netlify (hosting). Your use of the services is also subject to those providers' terms where applicable. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services beyond our own data sharing arrangements as described in the Privacy Policy.
9. Pricing
Our core assessment instruments are currently offered free of charge. We reserve the right to introduce paid features or premium tiers in the future. Any changes to pricing will be clearly communicated in advance and will not retroactively apply to free reports already generated.
10. Availability and changes
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the services at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any such modification, suspension, or discontinuance.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be highlighted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
The services are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, KnowYourProfile™, its affiliates, and its service providers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising from or related to your use of the services — including any reliance you place on a report or insight generated by our instruments.
In any case, our aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or the services is limited to SGD 100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, whichever is greater.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless KnowYourProfile™ and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the services.
14. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
15. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
